MANIPUR: HUGE AMOUNT OF GANJA SEIZED

In a combine operation a commando unit thoubal under the command of inspector N. Sadananda Singh, OC/ CDO Thoubal alongwith a team of Thoubal Police Station under the supervision of Shri Sachidananda Soibam Deputy SP(Ops)/Thoubal arrested two miscreants dealing with Ganja business.

The arrestees were identified as Khailun Lungdim (36) s/o (L) Thokholet of Gonpang Songgel, Saikot Sub-Division and Md. Akbar Khan (50) s/o (L) Chaoba of Thoubal Moijing Wangma who is serving in Manipur Police Department as a Head Constable and posted at Heirok PS from WangjingAwangLeikai, Canteen Lampak.

Opium of 1.50 kgs and 1.40 kgs containing in two different packets and 50 grams of Ganja and a sum of Rs. 2,02,000/- who was with Khailun Lungdim to purchase the opium has been seized from them and filed a case under Thoubal police station.
