Manipur: BJP leaders BL Santosh, Sambit Patra arrive in Imphal to strengthen state party coordination

Senior BJP leaders, BL Santosh, General Secretary (Organisation), and Dr Sambit Patra, BJP National Spokesperson and North East In-Charge, arrived in Imphal on a three-day visit to assess the political situation in Manipur and hold key meetings with party members and stakeholders.

The leaders were received at Imphal International Airport by BJP Manipur Unit President A. Sharda Devi and General Secretary K Sarat Singh, marking the start of an important round of consultations within the party.

According to party sources, Santosh and Patra will meet BJP MLAs from both the hill and valley districts, along with office bearers, district presidents, and prominent intellectuals of the state. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening party coordination and reviewing ongoing political and administrative developments in Manipur.

Sources further indicated that several BJP MLAs are likely to raise the issue of forming a popular government in the state during their meeting with the visiting central leaders. It is learned that BJP legislators have already held internal discussions to pursue the matter collectively.
