Meghalaya: Rebecca Vanessa Suchiang, first Khasi woman to take charge as new Chief Secy today

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya government on Wednesday announced the appointment of Rebecca Vanessa Suchiang as the new Chief Secretary. Suchiang is the first khasi woman bureaucrat to hold the coveted position.

According to an official notice, Suchiang will take charges the new Chief Secretary of the state from September 30 evening.

Meanwhile, outgoing Chief Secretary, MS Rao has been appointed as the Chief Commissioner of the State Public Service Delivery Commission as per the Meghalaya Right to Public Service Act, 2020.
