Indian hockey star and one of the state icons of Mizoram, Lalremsiami, returned home today after winning a bronze medal in the recently concluded Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
She was received by a warm reception at the airport.
Siami Hmar was one of the key players in the Indian women’s hockey team in the recently concluded Common Wealth Games.
She is also the first woman from the state to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games.
A special state reception was arranged for her when she arrived at Aizawl's Lengpui Airport.
She was formally welcomed by Dr. Lalrozama, Secretary of the Sporting & Youth Services Department, Vice Chairman of the Sports & Youth Affairs Board Pu TC Pachhunga, and other government officials, as well as various sports associations and well-wishers.
