Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been killed by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. Weapons and war like stores have also been recovered.
On specific inputs provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, an operation was launched which resulted in an encounter in Pazalpora area of Anantnag. It involved a combined group of terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Hizbul Mujahideen.
The eliminated terrorists have been identified as LeT commander Nasir Chadru, Javed Farooq and Aquib Ahmad.
It may be mentioned here that Army Chief General Bipin Rawat had said that the JeM camp in Balakot, that was bombed by the Indian Air Force in February, has been reactivated and about 500 infiltrators were waiting to infiltrate into Indian territory.
Meanwhile, in another crackdown, Hayat Ahmad Bhat, the main instigator of law and order disturbance in the downtown area of Srinagar city, has also been arrested.
