NEW DELHI: A PIL has been filed in Delhi High Court seeking removal of mobile caller tune on COVID-19 awareness in the voice of actor Amitabh Bachchan.
On Wednesday, with 15 more people testing positive for the new UK variant of Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease (Covid-19), the total number of UK returnees having tested positive for the mutant virus in the country has reached 73.

All these persons have been kept in single room isolation in designated health care facilities by respective state governments. Their close contacts have also been put under quarantine., the health ministry said.
According to sources, India’s foreign minister recently informed that Sri Lanka’s president that the country will be prioritised when Indian-produced COVID-19 vaccines are ready for export.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 COVID-19 tally rose to 1,03,95,278 with 20,346 new infections being reported in a day, while the number of recoveries surpassed one crore, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on January 7.
The death toll increased to 1,50,336 as 222 people succumbed to the disease in a span of 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am showed.
