Union Minister Giriraj Singh made the headlines when he accused the Congress of spreading lies and confusion over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and said that if Rahul Gandhi loved the infiltrators, he should take them to Italy.
Singh’s statement on Gandhi amid the cold war between the opposition and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the country’s current state of economic slowdown and citizenship mania.

Giriraj Singh also asked the Congress to refrain from “double-standards” policy and wanting to divide the country. His comments Rahul Gandhi addressed a Congress rally in Assam’s Guwahati.
Gandhi, during his visit, said that the Congress would not let the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to run Assam. “Nagpur will not run Assam. It will be run by the people of Assam,” he said. He also urged the people to be united and let out the message that the BJP “cannot attack the identity and culture of Assam.”

Giriraj Singh attacked the Congress by saying that only the grand old party and “tukde tukde” gangs had problems with the CAA. He added that the BJP was cleansing the sins of the opposition.
