Suspected militants kill former SPO in J&K

Guwahati, November 24, 2018:

An ex Special Police Officer (SPO) was abducted and killed by suspected militants on Friday in Shopian district of South Kashmir.

The SPO identified as Basharat Ahmad was kidnapped“forcibly by suspected terrorists” from Reban area of Shopian district earlier in the day.

As per J&K police reports, two other men were also abducted along with Ahmed by the gunmen but were released unharmed.

The body of the SPO was found in Nikloora area of Pulwama district.

The police however handed over his body to the deceased’s family after the completion of all formalities.
