A major landslide has hit the state of Sikkim on Wednesday and created blockage in the road connectivity in the hilly state.
As per the information provided by the East District Magistrate, the National Highway 10 connecting Gangtok and rest of Sikkim with Siliguri has been blocked at 29th Mile following the landslide.
The road is likely to open only after two days as the damage caused is high and clearance is expected to take a long period of time.
As per the official information, the route via Darjeeling is open for traffic as of now.
No casualties have been reported so far.
