After Assam's Hima Das and Jamuna Boro, it is now the turn of Lovlina Borgohain to shine in the international sporting area.
Ace Indian pugilist Lovlina Borgohain and Neeraj have bagged gold medals and Gaurav Solanki bagged silver at the Magomed Salam Umakhanov Memorial International Boxing Tournament in Kaspiysk of Russia.
A total of six medals have been fetched at the tournament by the Indian boxers that include two golds, one silver and three bronze.
Reigning Asian Championships gold medallist Pooja Rani (75kg) managed a bronze. Govind Sahani (49Kg) and Jony (60Kg) also grabbed bronze medals.
Assam girl Lovlina's efforts and dedication have been rewarded with her first international gold medal of the year.
