The first Bodoland International Paragliding Competition has kicked off at Baukhungri’s Dangdupur Hill in Assam’s Kokrajhar district on Monday. The competition shall come to a close on Thursday.

As many as 130 paragliders from across the world have arrived to participate in the event, Paragliders from China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal, Malaysia, Hongkong, Mongolia have participated in the three-day event.

The International Paragliding Competition, held under the aegis of BTC Tourism Department, was flagged off by Social Welfare Minister, Pramila Rani Brahma.
Deputy Chief, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Khampa Borgoyary, Principal Secretary Biren Chandra Phukon, Kokrajhar DC Parta Pratim Majumdar and BTC EM Doneswar Goyary were among the dignitaries present in the inauguration ceremony of Bodoland’s first International Paragliding Competition.
