India’s ace sprinter Hima Das will not be participating in the individual events at the World Championships with the federation.
As per reports, Hima Das will be focusing on 4x400m relay. She is suffering from a back injury. However, Athletics Federation of India and the national coach, Radhakrishnan Nair has refuted to the claims.
India’s best track star is running out of events to qualify at the extravaganza next year.

It is to be mentioned that after star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra had earlier been ruled out with elbow surgery, Hima Das is next. India has possibly got a double injury blow with less than a month to go for the Doha World Championships.
Assam’s ‘Sprint queen’ Hima Das has bagged six Gold Medal at the Women’s 300m in Athleticky Mitink Reiter 2019 in Czech Republic on Saturday. Earlier, Das had won a 400-metre event, winning the Gold medal with a record of 52.09 seconds. Her personal best is 50.79 seconds which was recorded at the 2018 Asian Games. According to her coach, she is yet to achieve her record best timing which she is lacking right now.
