The couple in question, Bohoto Kiba, the son of the Kilo Kilonser (home minister) of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Unification (NSCN-U), and his wife, had brandished military-grade assault rifles during their wedding ceremony on Saturday. In the shocking pics, the newlyweds were seen posing with the war-grade weapons, AK 56 and M16, while flashing smiles for the camerapersons.
Sources have revealed that even the guests were shocked at the open display of weapons at the wedding and jaws dropped on the floor at the sheer audacity of the bride and groom, who seemed to be having a gala time displaying the shiny guns.
However, netizens were divided on whether the newlyweds should have brandished the weapons openly a la Bonnie and Clyde from the classic Hollywood movie. While some felt that the display of guns is a display of "freedoms", others argued that the display of such dangerous weapons in a public gathering might promote 'gun culture' in the Northeast.
