Located near the India-China border at an altitude of over 10,000 feet, Tawang faces harsh climatic conditions and logistical challenges. Yet, elections are regularly held here, ensuring the participation of voters even in these remote areas.

The world's highest battlefield, Siachen Glacier, has seen elections being held at the world's highest polling station located at 18,615 feet. The station is accessible only by foot or helicopter, and soldiers brave sub-zero temperatures to cast their votes.
