Mobile Theatre is a form of theatre that is exclusively prevalent in Assam

Mobile Theatre consisting of cast, singers, musicians, dancers and crew members travel carrying tents and seating from one place to another

The idea was founded and developed by Natyacharya Brajanath Sarma back in the year 1930

The Kohinoor Theatre was the first mobile theatre group of Assam

At present there are over 60 mobile theatre groups present in Assam, mostly based in Pathsala
