ITANAGAR: As many as 83 people recuperated from COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 17,273.
The recoveries include 42 from Itanagar Capital Complex, 16 from Lower Dibang Valley, six from Papumpare, four from Changlang, six from Lower Subansiri, three from East Siang, two each from Lohit and Tawang, and one each from West Kameng and Namsai districts.
The recovery rate in the state, currently stand at 92.18 per cent.
On the other hand, 102 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, pushing the total caseload in the state to 18,738.
The positivity rate now stands at 7.50 per cent.
Of the 102 fresh cases, 48 were reported from the Itanagar Capital Complex, 10 from Lower Subansiri, eight each from West Kameng and Papumpare, seven each from Lower Dibang Valley and Changlang, five from Lohit, three from Tirap, two from Namsai, and one each from Tawang, Upper Siang, Lower Siang and East Siang districts respectively.

The state currently has 1406 active COVID- 19 cases, while 59 people have died so far due to the contagion.
Altogether 4,48,194 samples have been tested so far, including 2435 yesterday.
On the other hand, a total of 59,866 people have been fully inoculated in the state so far.
