The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) on Friday said it would soon launch the second phase of its anti-migrant ‘Operation Clean Drive’.
An AAPSU member said during the first phase of the drive, at least 2,000 ILP violators were detected. Now the remaining ILP violators will be asked to leave immediately from the state before the next phase, he said.
He also said that the drive would be carried out in the greater interests of the indigenous people.
AAPSU president, Hawa Bagang, said Arunachal had been for years facing a lot of threats from various angles and AAPSU would go to any extent to protect Arunachal and its people. He said during the last drive, most ILP violators were detected from the residences of bureaucrats, politicians and influential people.
