The Army took this initiated as three children were killed in an explosion while playing with a live bomb that was collected from the firing range.

District aministration and Army personnel are requesting people from door to door and as per the officials, so far they have got positive response from the locals.

So far the locals have handed over 554 mortar shells to the Army personnel and these were destroyed as well.

It may be mentioned that last Saturday three children were killed in an mortar explosion which reportedly were picked up from the firing range. The villagers are usually warned about entering the firing range but they usually do not follow the instructions and pick up the ammunition as well as explosives from the firing range in the district.
