“After an intensive training for 35-40 days, 170 Candidates from these 3 Siang districts were motivated and counseled for recruitment into the Army. The training was organized by AAUN Foundation in association with Military Station based at Sigar under Mebo Sub-Division and District Administration of East Siang District”, informed Group Captain Mohonto Panging, VM Retired. In an impressive sending off function held at JN College Auditorium, Pasighat on Tuesday, SP East Siang, Prashant Gautam, Lt Col Saxena from Military Station Sigar and Group Captain M Panging VM Retd, Secretary AAUN Foundation spoke on the occasion to motivate the candidates.
The candidates were trained for Physical Test, Preliminary medicals and Written Tests. During a similar such training capsule held here at Pasighat in the recent past, 8 local candidates were selected for Army. “We are hopeful this time too many seriously aspiring local youths will get through the recruitment rally at Jairampur”, opined Pangging, a retired IAF pilot who hails from Namsing village under Mebo Sub-Division.
The joint efforts of AAUN Foundation, Sigar Military station and District Administration here in Pasighat are truly praiseworthy who are not only helping the young local aspiring candidates to get job in Indian Army, but they are also helping the Indian Army and the country. The recruitment of local valorous youths into Indian Army who are ready to defend the nation from any war or attack from external forces will surely be a winning strategy as these youths are knowledgeable enough of mountainous terrain and their sustainability in thick forest in a war situations.
More recruitment of local youths of this frontier state into Army will surely be helpful in any conventional war with China in Arunachal Theater.
