NPP leader Jarpum Gamlin on Tuesday alleged that the BJP-led government in Arunachal Pradesh has backtracked from one of its commitments after AP Staff Selection Board (SSP) candidates were called in for interviews despite the enactment of the AP Staff Selection Board (SSB) Act.
Jarpum in a serious of tweets wrote, "While enacting AP Staff Selection Board (SSB) Act " data-mentioned-user-id="755271973278711808">@PemaKhanduBJP had assured in the floor of the assembly that for Group C, no interview shall b conducted. Only written tests shall be the criteria specially for Forest & Police Deptts. However, your govt has backtracked." [sic]
He further wrote that in the on-going police recruitment for Group C, why are interviews being slated out of blue?
"Physical and Written is over. Going by what you spoke in the assembly appointments should have been issued in a fair and transparent manner", he added.
He further added that in the letter issued by SSB to the successful candidates, there is no timeline mentioned for the interviews. Whereas the objective of setting up SSB was eliminating the corrupt practice of “cash-for-job”.
He added that by doing this the SSB is slaughtering its own credibility.
He further tagging the Prime Minister in his tweet appeared to stop “INTERVIEW” in the group-C recruitment as promised by Pema Khandu and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also asked to give appointment orders to those who qualified the physical and written tests.
