
ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh cabinet today decided to vaccinate people between the age group of 18-44, free of cost.
The cabinet also approved to place an order of four lakh units of Covishield vaccine and to allot an additional amount of Rs 65 Crore to vaccinate the people of the age group.
The cabinet also directed the state health department to facilitate registration of all people above 18 years.
Arunachal Pradesh recorded 110 COVID-19 positive cases yesterday, taking the tally in the state to 17,296.
Of the fresh cases, 42 were reported from the Capital Complex Region, while West Kameng recorded 19, Lower Dibang Valley 14, East Siang nine, Namsai and Lower Subansiri seven each, Changlang four, Lohit and Tawang two each, followed by Upper Subansiri, West Siang, Papunpare and Lower Siang one case each.

Barring 24, all the new patients were asymptomatic.
The state now has 380 active cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the infection so far.
