The residents of Miao in hundreds staged a candle light march in protest demanding justice and impartial inquiry into the death of Langlang Tangha and Taba Yanya.
They also demanded investigation by Special Investigative team (SIT).
The protesting members demanding inquiry into the matter held playcards and chanted slogans “We want justice”, “Justice delayed is justice denied”, “No SIT- No justice”, “Not suicide, not suicide, it's cold blooded murder”.
The protestors have been demanding probe into mysterious death of two youths Langlang Tangha and Taba Yanya in Itanagar on July 26 that shook the state, Miao Singpho Ramma Hpung.
Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society, Miao Unit President Odi Singpho said, “We mothers upbring our children with great hardships and big dreams not to be killed by criminals.”
Singpho urged the state government to respect their sentiments and order an impartial enquiry to ascertain the truth.
Similar peace marches has already been held in Changlang, Bordumsa and all circle headquarters in the district.
