Itanagar, August 29, 2019:

The state Governor BD Mishra is paying a 2-day visit to Miao, Vijaynagar and Pangsau Pass on August 30 and 31.

The Governor will visit the two places to discuss the development of border trade between India and Myanmar at Pangsau Pass.

Apart from that, BD Mishra will also visit to make sure that the construction of the historic MV road is completed in time which will contribute largely to the development of tourism. He will also ensure that the world-acclaimed Namdapha National Park is free from encroachment. He will ensure that the mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to save tigers is implemented to its fullest form.

The Governor will directly go to Vijaynagar from Itanagar via Mohanbari - Miao. He will visit schools and attend a public meeting in the valley. In recent weeks, the Governor has been taking a tough stance on completion of MV Road construction within the stipulated period of time. He will have a night halt there.

As per the programme, he is supposed to visit 52 miles in the core of Namdapha National Park along MV Road by road from Vijaynagar but weather and road conditions can play spoilsport.

On August 31, he will fly down to Miao from where he will proceed to Jairampur and will visit Pangsau Pass by road.
