Ninong Ering, the MLA representing Pasighat West Constituency in Arunachal Pradesh, has undertaken a unique initiative to provide quality education to students from the Northeast so that they can be more competitive in the national arena.

Announcing this while attending the concluding ceremony of golden jubilee celebration of Government Secondary School, Ngorlung in East Siang district (bordering Assam) on Saturday.
The MLA has planned to support coaching for competitive exams to 5 students, while he is all set to sponsor coaching for IIT, Medical and other engineering exams to Class 12-passed students (at least 10 students each year).
Addressing the alumni and villagers, Ering urged parents to guide their children and said that students should be free to build their careers without interference.
"The young students should be free to choose a trade for career building without interference. Based on their interests and talents, they should be advised to adopt sports and other activities to build their careers", said the MLA.

Ering belives that through this initiative, our children can compete at all India level and they can become role models and inspiration for other students.
Taking to Twitter, the MLA, who is one of the veteran leaders of the Congress party in the frontier state, wrote, "In order to promote students from North East especially from Arunachal Pradesh, I have taken up the responsibility to provide 'advanced coaching' for meritorious students from Pasighat West constituency. Will support 10 students for IIT and medical while 5 students for IAS exam."
