The National People's Party (NPP) Arunachal Pradesh President Gicho Kabak has strongly condemned the incident of ambush and killing of the sitting NPP MLA Tirong Aboh and ten others including two security personnel. They were shot dead at around 11:30 am on Tuesday in a militant attack near Bogapani village at Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh. He was heading to Khonsa from Dibrugarh district in Assam when he was cornered by militants who opened fire.
The State President has informed that the NPP party is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of the unexpected death of its Arunachal NPP MLA Tirong Aboh and members of his family. The has NPP strongly condemned the brutal attack and urged both the Central and State governments to take stern action against those responsible for the dastardly attack.
Aboh was the sitting NPP MLA from Khonsa West assembly constituency and was seeking re-election from Khonsa West assembly seat.
"NPP is saddened to convey that his sudden demise is a great loss to the party, the people of the state, the people of the Khonsa and the family's member. NPP conveys heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray almighty God to keep their soul and spirit be peace and comfort in heavenly abode", he conveyed.
Meanwhile, NPP President Conrad K Sangma has also taken to Twitter to condemn the incident. He wrote: "The NPP is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of the death of its MLA Shri Tirong Aboh (Arunachal Pradesh) and his family. We condemn the brutal attack and urge @rajnathsingh and @PMOIndia to take action against those responsible for such attack."
