ITANAGAR: In a bid to boost tourism in the state, the Arunachal Pradesh government on Tuesday decided to connect fixed-wing air travel services with Pasighat and Tezu.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu with officials of Flybig airlines. The Chief Minister informed that some of the remote tourist destinations in the state will be connected with fixed-wing air travel services.

Pasighat and Tezu are the two destinations that have been approved so far, stated Khandu in a tweet.
The Chief Minister further said that more destinations will be added in the future.
This is not the first time when Flybig airlines have worked with the state government to bring Arunachal closer to tourists and travelers. Earlier in May, Flybig airlines started its first direct flight service between Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh and Guwahati in Assam.
This is the second flight service to Pasighat from Guwahati after Alliance Air had started direct flight services between Guwahati-Pasighat in 2018.
