Talking to InsideNE, the father said that the video was shot in the month of January this year when they were trying to raise money for the treatment of a cancer patient.
However, they had to stop the performances due to the lockdown and restrictions imposed by the state government.
"We were able to arrange only Rs 4270. Unfortunately, the patient passed later", said the girl's father.
Hailing from Naharlagun, Rinyum has been dancing by herself watching performances on television for the past 3 years. She started professional dance training at the beginning of 2020. However, her classes were cut short due to the COVID-induced lockdown last year.
Her father further informed that she continued her dance classes again in January this year. Once again her classes were canceled due to 2nd wave of COVID-19.
