The Government of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday has issued orders to temporarily suspend Telecom data services in Itanagar after the protest against government’s move to issue of Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) to Non Arunachali citizen turned violent.
All Telecom Service Providers are directed to block data network for the next 24 hours in view of law and order situation to avoid rumors mongering through internet in the interest of public safety and emergency.
It may be mentioned that in the afternoon, a group of angry protestors burnt down police and government vehicles at Itanagar
Also there were reports of stone pelting in the area and the protestors tried to break into the state secretariat as the students are angry over the government decision.
