ARUNACHAL PRADESH: IN A JOINT OPERATION OF POLICE, MAGISTRATE AND WASE, THREE ARRESTED, ONE ABSCONDED.

In continuation of the ongoing fight against drug menace in the district, three persons were arrested from the residence of one Lorence Kadu here at Pasighat on Monday while a women who is also a suspect of drug peddler fled away, informed WASE sources here today.

According to WASE General Secretary, Joya Tasung Moyong, they received the confirmed information of one Lorence Kadu having procured the Brown Sugar from Assam in the previous night and was also confirmed of selling the dreaded drugs to the customers who were also present at Kadu’s residence. “Accordingly we informed police and magistrate after which a joint operation was launched and 3 persons were arrested but one woman fled away who is also suspect a drug peddler”, added Joya. Total of 5 packets of brown sugar were seized from their possession totaling 75.4 grams.

A case has been registered against the drug peddlers cum addicts vide Pasighat PS Case No. 86/2018 U/S 21 (C) NDPS Act.

It is seriously a worth pondering over several people and common public asking the seriousness and validity of law that, despite booking many drug peddlers and addicts under NDPS Act and police’s arrest countless of them they easily gets bail out without much punishment as anticipated. Due to such loose and easy bail out system despite arresting several of them red handed most of the drug peddlers and addicts are same offenders who repeat the illegalities without any fear of law.

Does this mean our judiciary or law so weak? Who will answer this question of many laymen who reads news of such arrest in newspapers and on social media on every one or two interval days? Is this one of the most feared law across the nation and the world ‘NDPS Act’ so relaxed and compromisable in this frontier state?
