ARUNACHAL PRADESH:MINOR GIRL MOLESTED BY ONE OF SIKH REGIMENT, ANSF DEMAND FOR JUSTICE

As per the report given by local people to ANSF, one minor girl (age 10) was sexually molested by one Gurlal Singh aged 29 years hailing from Ferozpur, punjab of 4th Sikh Regiment, Pongchau, under Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Naga Students' Federation, gravely condemn such sick, ugly deeds done by this army man. The Federation also claimed that in the past this 4th sikh Regiment, under Longding district had also committed many injustice against the people by violating National human rights. Moreover, this Draconian AFSPA 1958 has given them complete free hand to suppressed the rights of innocent and peace loving people. The Federation stated that the military authority are here to safeguard, protect and maintain peace in the region and to assist the people in hours of affliction, and the Federation question that is this how a Indian army safeguard It's people? By molesting a minor girl and violating human rights, now the commoner and our sisters are not even safe in the mighty arms of Indian army. This army man has defamed the name of Indian army by his disgraceful act, ANSF won't tolerate such beastly and insane deeds committed by anyone.  ANSF appeal the higher authority of Indian Army to sacked the accused with appropriate section of law, the Federation also appeal his Excellency HE Governor of Arunachal Pradesh to intervene and give justice to the minor victim girl, so that further such kind of satanic and shameful behaviour shouldn't occurred by anyone. ANSF further stated that no one is above the law and one should respect the greatest law of this country. Lastly, the Federation leaders also request the DC, SP Longding district to support the civil societies of Longding district in this shameful deeds committed by the accused. ANSF will talk with the National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi, Lt. General 3 Corps, Ranga Pahar and Joint Intelligence Chairman, PMO, New Delhi.
