ITANAGAR: A mass rally and gathering at World War-II Cemetery (largest war cemetery in the Northeast) at Jairampur voiced opposition to Myanmar's recent military coup, which resulted in the fall of Aung San Suu Kyi's NLD-led democratic government.
Jairampur is located in Namchik basin and a small hilly village along the Indo-Myanmar border.
All people were clad in their own traditional attire.

The rally was organised by the CBO of Eastern Arunachal namely, Singpho Development Society, Tangsa Development Society, All Tai Khampti Singpho Students' Union, Singpho Women's Organisation, Tangsa Students' Union, All Namsai Area Youth's Association, Yobin Students' Union, All Bordumsa Singpho Students 'Union along with All Assam Tangsa Students' Union and All Assam Sema Students' Union of Assam to show their solidarity with the people of Myanmar.
Human rights abuses and human lives have also been lost as a result of the military coup.
More than 200 people have died so far and Myanmar has turned into a war zone as a result of the military's crackdown on unarmed civilians. Many civilians have been arrested and held as political prisoners for staging anti-coup protests.
Through this rally, the CBO, which represented various communities from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, demonstrated their support for the Myanmar people's fight for democracy and human rights.
