Arunachal Pradesh recorded 314 fresh cases of Covid-19 within last 24 hours taking the total tally to 23867 in the state.
Currently, the state stands at 2,936 active cases.
With 3 more Covid deaths, the total death toll in the state currently stands at 95. The three deaths have been recorded from Lower Siang, Lohit and Tawang districts as informed by State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa.
Among the new 314 cases, the maximum number have been recorded from the capital complex region i.e 55 cases. Tawang recorded 41 cases, Namsai 37 Lower Dibang Valley 32 Changlang 23, Upper Subansiri 16, West Kameng 15, Kamle and Lower Subansiri with 14 each, Upper Siang 13, Papumpare and Lohit 10 each. The rest of the cases have been confirmed from few other districts.
The remaining new cases were reported from several other districts.
Out of the 314 cases, at least 295 cases were detected through rapid antigen tests, 13 through RT-PCR and 6 through TrueNat method.
Currently, Arunachal Pradesh stands at 2,936 active cases.
With 291 recoveries, the state has registred a total of 20836 recoveries. Reportedly the recovery rate of the state is currently 87.30%.
Earlier the Arunachal govenment had imposed a complete lockdown in the capital complex region, Tawang, Namsai, Anjaw, Dibang Valley, Lower Subansiri and Lohit districts till May 31 due to the surge in number of positive cases.
