ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh saw its highest single-day increase of 304 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the tally to 22,106.

Of the total new cases, 89 cases were reported from the capital complex area led the way followed by Changlang with 33, Tawang with 27, East Siang with 21, and Namsai with 19.

The state also reported four more deaths related to the infection, with the new fatalities the death toll has reached 85.

One death was recorded in each of East Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Upper Subansiri, and Lohit.

The state currently has 2,346 active cases.

The Capital Complex Area which includes the cities of Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli, and Banderdewa, has the most active cases (611), followed by Changlang (204), Lohit (184), and Lower Dibang Valley (168).

On Monday, at least 214 people have recovered from the disease.

The recovery rate is 89 percent and the positivity rate is 7.22 percent.

A total of 5,06,975 samples have been tested so far with 4,208 being tested on Monday.

Meanwhile, 3,10,761 people have been inoculated in the state so far with 3,674 of them being between the ages of 18 and 44.
