ITANAGAR: Lukbi Bojir, a contractual junior teacher at the government primary school in Ngomdir under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (ISSE), has been fired from his job by the West Siang deputy commissioner in connection with the recent child abuse case.
The accused was charged with IPC Section 6 of the POCSO Act (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences), Section 75 of the JJ Act (Care and Protection of Children), and Section 14 of the Child Labour Act.
On May 28, 2021, the district administration served Bojir with a show-cause notice for the serious charge of misbehavior and moral turpitude filed against him.

He was given seven days to answer. Bojir's job was fired after he allegedly failed to respond.
Bojir is now being detained at the Seijosa police station.
After almost four weeks, on the 17th of June, he surrendered to the police along the Pasighat road near Podumoni in North Lakhimpur and was apprehended from Assam.
