GUWAHATI: On the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other chief ministers from the Northeast states have extended greetings to the citizens of their states and urged them to stay at home and spend time with their families.

class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0" style="text-transform: initial;"> cases, I request everyone to Stay Home Stay Safe & spend lovely time with your families," chief minister Sarma tweeted.Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma took to Twitter and wrote, "Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to everyone! May the prayers offered on the auspicious occasion bring us health and well-being, may it strengthen all our frontline workers battling the pandemic, and may it bring peace and comfort to those that are suffering."
Extending wish on Eid-Ul-Fitr, Manipur chief minister wrote, "I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to all on the joyous occasion of Id-ul-Fitr. The noble ideals that mark Id-ul-Fitr hold important values and lessons that are relevant to each one of us irrespective of religion and belief systems."
Tripura chief minister taking to Twitter wished everyone a happy Eid-ul-Fitr and said he wish this happy Eid bring happiness and prosperity to all the people of the state.
"সকলকে পবিত্র উৎসব ঈদ-উল-ফিতরের আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। এই খুশির ঈদ সমস্ত রাজ্যবাসীকে সুখ ও সমৃদ্ধি এনে দিক এই কামনা করি।"CM Biplab Deb tweeted in Bengali.
"May Allah bless you all with endless happiness, fulfill your aspirations and guide you to the right path. Ameen Happy Arunachal chief minister Pema Khandu wrote on Twitter.
Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio also extended Eid-Ul-Fitr wish. "greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters. I wish you all a happy and a safe ."CM Neiphiu tweeted.

This is the second time in a row since 2020 that Muslim peoples have observed Ramzan amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and have been celebrating the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr amid lockdown, curfew, and other COVID restrictions at their respective homes.
People in the national capital offered namaz at their homes as masjids remained closed due to the COVID-19-induced lockdown.
