The 6th and 9th regiment of the Assam Rifles nabbed four cadres of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) from Changra in Arunachal Pradesh.
Based on specific inputs, the troops of Assam Rifles and the Assam police launched a joint operation in the region and detained the cadres on June 26th, 2020.
The cadres have been identified as Sargent Major Tiksher Moran alias Arjun Asom, 31, of New kathalguri village under Pengri police station in Tinsukia district; Sargent Major Arup Dowarh alias Anchon Asom, 36, Katharbari village under Dhakuakhana in Lakhimpur district; Surjeet Dowarh alias Khamon Asom, 34, Khamanpather village under Margherita police station in Tinsukia and SS Sgt Jintu Asom, 26, of Takuligaon in Tinsukia district in Assam.

Police recovered the following items from the possession of the cadres:
All the cadre had undergone training in Taga camp in Myanmar, a police release stated. They were trained to carry out various extortion activities as well as sabotage activities against Indian security forces. They were infiltrating to carry out subversive activities & attack on ISF in upper Assam, officials stated.
