Assam Rifles, police nab NSCN(R) cadre in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: A cadre of the NSCN-R was apprehended by security forces in Arunachal Pradesh during an operation, on Monday.

According to the sources, a team of Changlang Police led by Sub Inspector Kishen Kumar and supervised by SP Mihin Gambo conducted a raid in the Kangkho region of the district on Sunday evening based on intelligence inputs about the presence of the rebel and apprehended him.

“SECURITY FORCES APPREHEND NSCN (R) CADRE IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH Assam Rifles in an intelligence based joint operation with Arunachal Pradesh Police apprehended one NSCN (R) cadre from general area Kangkho in Changlang District on 05 Apr”, Assam Rifles tweeted.

Rajapio Kitsam Kitnya (42), the son of Banhum Kitnya, has been named as the cadre. According to sources Gambo, the cadre was detained in connection with the Changlang police station case.
