A bus service has been started that will connect Pasighat with Dibrugarh. The buses will ply over the recently inaugurated Bogibeel Bridge. The bus service was flagged off by Pasighat MLA Kaling Moyong at Pasighat’s Gandhi Chowk.
The service will be of immense assistance to patients intending to receive treatment at the Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh as well as students who travel to Assam for higher education.
The Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services (APSTS) officials have also confirmed that more buses will be introduced in the route in coming days.
The introduction of the 4.94 km long bridge has drastically reduced the travel time between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
It may be mentioned that the Northeast Frontier Railway has also introduced intercity passenger trains between Nahalangan (in Arunachal Pradesh) and Tinsukia (in Assam).
