ITANAGAR: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a new complaint against former chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Nabam Tuki on Thursday for alleged nepotism and corruption in connection with a contract for the construction of a Kendriya Vidyalaya school perimeter wall in Kolkata's Salt Lake neighbourhood.
The investigating agency has filed a second FIR against Nabam Tuki. He was also charged with corruption, cheating and forgery by the CBI in 2019.

The CBI alleges in its FIR that when Nabam Tuki was the PWD minister in 2005-06, he gave the deal to companies controlled by his family members, inflicting unlawful loss to the state government and corresponding "wrongful" benefit to the minister and his relatives.
Despite the fact that it "did not have the needed establishment and wherewithal" in the Salt Lake area where construction was to take place, the work was awarded to Arunachal Pradesh PWD by the former Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya suo motu in 2005.
According to the sources, Nabam Tuki and his brother Nabam Tagam have been charged with giving 11 contracts worth Rs 20 crore to his family members, while serving as ministers of consumer affairs and civil supplies way back in 2003.
