Guwahati, October 01, 2019:

Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, met Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr). B D Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhawan in Itanagar on Tuesday to discuss various security issues pertaining to the State.

The interaction was followed by a Security Review Meeting wherein various security and border infrastructure related issues were discussed with the Governor and Chief Minister.

Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Air Officer Commanding in Chief Eastern Air Command and senior Army officials were also present in the meeting.

Lauding the contribution of the Indian Army in maintaining a peaceful security situation, Brigadier B D Mishra emphasized on working jointly with the state government functionaries during various endeavours aimed at the welfare and security of the state.
