Houses and shops were gutted in a devastating fire in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.
According to reports, the inferno broke out at Mangnang village under Sille-Oyan circle. Seven houses, three shops, a granary and a rice mill were reduced to ashes. Fire tenders, which came from Pasighat and Assam, doused the fire later.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu assured that the state government would provide relief of Rs.1 lakh to the affected families.
