Congress legislator from Pasighat constituency of Arunachal Pradesh Ninong Ering who had alleged that five Arunachal youths of the state have been abducted in an exclusive interview with INSIDENE said that he had spoke to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Nacho regarding the incident but the DC said that he is not aware of such development.

Ering said that though the army is aware of the incident, they are not willing to disclose it. He said that there were seven youths who went with the Indian army as porters but ther army is not revealing it. Ering added that the army often hire local youths to ferry things and the practice is prevalent in Tawang too. Ering added that the youths might have gone for fishing or hunting after dropping the army goods but it is certain that the youths had accompanied the army.

“How can the Peoples’ Liberation Army (PLA) of China come deep into the Indian territory when the Indo-China border is far away from Nacho,” asked Ering. When asked whether the central government ignores Arunachal, Ering said that it is a diplomatic reason.

Ering reiterated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led central government has always been denying of Chinese presence in Indian soil but this incident has proved that the PLA quiet often intrudes into the Indian territory. He added that China has been doing all these out of frustration as several countries have started banning Chinese products and mobile apps. Ering said that whenever there is a standoff between India and China in Doklam or Ladakh they try to shift the focus to Arunachal Pradesh.   

When asked whether such abduction incident has taken place in Arunachal, Erplied replied that this type of incident quiet often often occurs in bordering areas. Ering also said that China has constructed road up to Dibang Valley and it is evident from satellite images.

Ering said that though I have tweeted the incident, PMO is yet to give any confirmation regarding the incident. The Deputy Commissioner will also take time to confirm the incident as it takes seven days to reach the placer of occurrence.

Ering said that the main conflict between India and China is the river issue. Mutual understanding between both the countries is required to solve this issue. He appealed China to release the abducted as soon as possible.

Ering ended by saying that if China continues to do so than India will be bound to reply in near future.
