According to Khandu, the opening of new police stations and the operationalisation of several others is part of an effort to expedite the clearance of tourism circuits in the area.

The chief minister was accompanied by Arunachal Pradesh home minister Bamang Felix, legislative assembly deputy speaker Tesam Pongte, advisor to PWD minister Phosum Khimhun, advisor to tourism minister Laisam Simai and director general of police RP Upadhyay.

“Inaugurated 5 new police station buildings at Changlang, Namtok, Jairampur, Nampong & Manmao. About 21 police stations have been newly established and renovated in Tirap, Changlang & Longding districts. This would secure law and order, and assure speedy development of the region,” Khandu tweeted.
