ITANAGAR: A devastating fire broke out in Senua Noksa village, about 4 kilometres from Tisa and more than 10 kilometres from Longding district headquarters in Arunachal Pradesh, on Saturday late evening.
Twenty-one houses and the same number of godowns/granaries were reduced to ashes.
The disaster also destroyed a community hall, an Aganwadi centre, and a church.

The family is now homeless, with all of their possessions, food, and school children's clothes and books, among other items, reduced to ash.
In the recent past, fire incidents have been increasing day by day, especially during the winter.
Past fire incident lost two people near Lazu in Tirap, with over 100 homes demolished, including a small child and an elderly man.
Last month, three school-aged children were killed in a fire in Boasimla, Kamle district, which also resulted in the destruction of several homes.
