ITANAGAR: Anong Sinpho, a talented msinger from Arunachal Pradesh, has been gradually carving a niche for himself in the Bollywood industry with his talent.
The 27-year-old singer grabbed the attention after singing in the video album of Zee Music Company, a prominent Indian music company and a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, making him the first Arunachal Pradesh-born Bollywood singer.
On Mother's Day 2021, Zee Music Company launched Anong's music ‘Laut Aao Maa’ as a tribute to all mothers and the video has been viewed 1.4 million and over one lakh likes on YouTube in less than a month.
Anong comes from the small town of Miao, which is located in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district.
He was a regular singer at his school functions at the Government Higher Secondary School in Miao and he used social media to promote his singing abilities.
With his lovely voice, Anong has already made everyone crave in Arunachal Pradesh.
His passion for singing began since school days and he credits his elder brother teaching him how to play the guitar and drums.
However, his greatest desire is to work as a Bollywood playback singer.
“Indian music has a special connection for me that I can't put into words. There is no need for a translator because music is universal. It just unites you with your soul”, Anong said.
With his efforts, he aims to establish a reputation in Arunachal Pradesh as one of the best vocalists in the mainstream music genre. Anong Singpho has frequently performed in Arunachal Pradesh and other North Eastern states with the little rising star Oupseng Namchoom to make his dream into reality.
