BJP President Amit Shah sounded the poll bugle in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh ahead of the ensuing 7-phase Lok Sabha elections in the state. The BJP President leader was on the campaign for Tapir Gao, the BJP candidate from the Arunachal East Lok Sabha Constituency.
In a speech delivered at the General Ground Bardumsa, Shah urged the people of Arunachal to vote for the BJP based on the developmental works carried out by the saffron party in the frontier state.
“From Arunachal to Kanyakumari, from Assam to Gujarat, people have decided that the Modi Government will be voted to power once again. It is because Narendra Modi has transformed the country within a span of five years. Five years ago, North-East was full of turbulence, there were no signs of development, and corruption was rampant. These issues had bogged the North-East down. But no longer are the bomb blasts or sounds of gunfire being heard, thanks to the Modi Government. The Modi Government has taken the North-East down a path of development”, he said amid chants of “phir ek baar Modi sarkar” (once more Modi Government).
Shah also said that the BJP Government is planning to set up an AIIMS in the North-East and also paid homage to Arunachal martyr Hangpan Dada.
It may be mentioned that the Lok Sabha elections and Assembly elections will be held simultaneously on April 11. BJP will be contesting all 60 Assembly seats in Arunachal.
