Skymetweather has reported that a Western Disturbance is moving across Eastern parts of Tibet. Also, moisture incursion is continuing over the Northeast Indian states from Bay of Bengal.
Hence, very warm and humid weather is likely to continue over the seven sister states during the next 24 hours. The eastern parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are likely to receive moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers at many places while other parts of Northeast will be affected by light to moderate rain and thundershowers at scattered places.
Thereafter, another Western Disturbance would be affecting Sikkim and western parts of Assam in quick succession. Hence, June 25 onward heavy rainfall activity would be affecting Sikkim, West Assam and Meghalaya while, eastern parts of Northeast states will experience moderate rain and thundershower activity.
The day temperatures will decrease significantly over the entire Northeast states.This heavy to very heavy rain will continue between June 25 to 27 mainly over Sikkim, western and southern parts of Assam and Meghalaya.
The day temperatures are likely to remain between 27 to 29 degree Celsius during this time, while night temperatures will be between 23 to 24 degrees. Places like Cherrapunji, Shillong, Guwahati, Goalpara, Dhubri, Barpeta, New Bagaingaun, Silchar, etc are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall between June 25 to 27.
