NSCN-K (YA) cadre apprehended with huge cache of arms and ammunition in Arunachal

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Police along with Assam Rifles Changlang Battalion apprehended one hardcore National Socialist Council of Nagaland (K-Yung Aung), NSCN-K-YA cadre in Arunachal Pradesh and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from his possession.

The NSCN-(K-YA) cadre has been identified as SS Corporal Wangai Wangpan (22), a resident of Chasa village in Kapu Tehsil in Tirap District of Arunachal Pradesh.

Police arrested Wangpan on August 5 after a fire fighting with ultras in the jungle area of Jongphohate village in Yatdam Tehsil of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh.

The recovered arms and ammunition include-- AK-56 Assualt Rifles 01, AK magazines 03, ammunition 121 rounds, Lathode Gun, Pistol 01, pistol magazines 02, 9mm ammunition 10 rounds, grenade, radio set, mobile phones, cash, and other warlike stores.
