ITANAGAR: Six new cases of coronavirus were registered in Arunachal Pradesh today taking the total number of people infected with COVID-19 to 16,888.
Four cases were registered from the Lower Dibang Valley district on Tuesday, and two cases from the capital complex city, according to a health ministry senior official.
Lower Dibang Valley has the most patients undergoing therapy with 17 in all. Itanagar, Naharalgun, Nirjuli and Bandardeva are all part of the Capital Complex.

There are 10 cases of under-treatment in the capital town. Other than two infected individuals, according to state monitoring officer Lobsang Jampa, no symptom has been observed in others.
A total of 41 patients are still infected in Arunachal Pradesh, though 16,791 people have recovered from the disease.
According to the sources, 56 people have died as a result of the disease so far. The state's health status is 99.42 per cent, with a 0.24 per cent infection rate.
A total of 4,17,356 samples have been tested in the state, with 315 samples being tested on Monday.
Since the vaccination drive began in January, more than one lakh citizens have been vaccinated, according to state immunization officer Dimong Padung.
