Suspected NSCN-K cadre apprehended in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati, February 18, 2019:

Based on specific inputs, a suspected National Socialist Council of Nagaland- Khaplang (NSCN- K) over ground worker was apprehended by the 9th Battalion of the Rajputana Rifles at Ratanpur in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh

The suspected NSCN- K cadre has been identified as Aurungsa Chakma.

The apprehended cadre was handed over to Miao Police Station and an FIR was lodged under section IPC Sec 384, 511, 506 & Sec 10 of UA (P) Act 1967.

This operation is part of the ongoing crackdown by security forces on the terrorist organization active in South Arunachal Pradesh wherein there have been many apprehensions of the insurgents.
